Sega to reveal 'two new hardcore games' till the end of this year

Sega has said that it'll announce two major hardcore games in the remainder of this year.

The publisher's Western president Mike Hayes explained that it will look to release one in 2011, and one in 2012.

Sega didn't make any major new game announcements at E3 - where it allowed titles such as Sonic Colours, Shogun 2 and Platinum Games' Vanquish to shine.

The latter won particular praise at the show - with Insomniac Games describing it as "Gears Of War on crack".

Vanquish is getting a good response," Hayes explained in a new interview, "that's our big hope for the release later this year to keep us in the 360/PS3 core game slot.

"Then we've got two other big games that we'll be announcing this year for 2011 and 2012. So we're not going to be overly aggressive - but we're going to try to have one or two games each year in that segment."

Hayes also promised that Sega would have some announcements to make on 3D games "very soon".

Hopefully we would see the two unannounced 'hardcore games' along with 'Vanquish' having pc version. Fingers crossed
