'Door Open' for Two Worlds III Says DiGennaro

Topware's PR Director, Jake DiGennaro has revealed that a third Two Worlds could be a possibility.

Jake laid it out pretty clearly that "assuming Two Worlds II is successful enough to warrant it, Two Worlds III is something we have definitely given thought." Before you get worried, Two Worlds II won't end with some kind of bullsh*t cliffhanger as the game is being structured "in a way that provides closure on the events of the game, and leaves the door open to an extent for the opening of a third game."

Company talks about making a sequel; nothing really shocking there. It is interesting to see that TopWare is already exploring the future, especially when it's going to take a lot of convincing that Two Worlds II isn't repeating the mistakes of the original. Jake shares this sentiment and feels "it’s a fine line to walk when you’re working on a franchise that you’re kind of wishy-washy on how it’s going to be received."

So whether the sequel is received well or not, it will be "giving players at least something that if this is the last chapter of Two Worlds, then we go out properly. At the same time leave the door open just enough so that we can come back in with the third chapter and expand upon the narrative we've constructed without a "#2 did well enough, so I guess it's time for another Two Worlds" vibe. It's really a rather difficult tightrope act."

First lets see whether Two Worlds II can make an impact before a sequel can made.

Two Worlds II will ship on September 14th for the PC.
