When we saw that the next Mutation gameplay mode for Valv's zombie co-op shooter Left 4 Dead 2 was going to be called Hard Eight we figured it had something to do with gambling. You know, maybe a little dice rolling or some roulette wheel action.
No such luck. Valve just updated Left 4 Dead 2 and as it turns our Hard Eight means that in campaign mode you will have to face eight Special infected enemies at one time, which is double the normal amount. The special mode also increases the spawning for the enemies so that it will be raining Specials on your three man and one woman team. Have fun. Oh and next week's Mutation mode sounds pretty scary
Left Dead 2 was released in November 2009 for the PC.
